Thank you for using Altitude Tracker | Snap it! This page provides all the necessary information to help you get the most out of our app. If you have any questions or issues, please contact us using the information below.
Altitude Tracker | Snap It uses GPS signals to determine your current location, showing your latitude, longitude, altitude (height from sea level), barometric pressure, and water boiling point.
An in-app purchase can be used to unlock additional features.
The application requires an internet connection only to fetch weather information, while all other functions work perfectly without an internet connection and best outdoors.
By default, it uses the device's sensor to determine the elevation from sea level. On newer devices, using the device's sensor is more accurate.
Additionally, Altitude Tracker | Snap It allows you to take photos, save them in a photo album, and share them with friends. Photos will be stamped with the coordinates of your current location, along with altitude and local date/time.
Barometric pressure is calculated based on elevation. On newer devices such as iPhone 6/6+, the value is delivered directly from the device's built-in barometric sensor; this behavior is configurable, and you can switch back to calculation mode.
Elevation from sea level in meters (metric) or feet (imperial)
Change between metric and imperial systems by tapping on the reported elevation
Current location coordinates including latitude and longitude
Barometric pressure in various units extracted from the device sensor or calculated from altitude
Water boiling point at your current location
Current weather information including temperature, condition, humidity, wind speed, and wind bearing (via API)
World altitude: get the approximate altitude (elevation from sea level) of any location in the world
